Coast Of Gum Grafting In Canada

Ricardo Gama back home after attack

Ricardo-Gama

a developed country, where democracy is a mature and well established principle, where the authorities know well tolerate any disputes they receive from citizens, ever opponents and critics are silenced based on plays by gunfire. Unfortunately this is not the case of our country, Brazil.

In the last 23 days, blogger Ricardo Gama suffered bullet in an attack on the Copacabana. He was shot three times by men who were inside a silver car: a head, a neck and another on the shoulder. He was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery. After a few days, failed to recover and is at home, writing again.

Your blog is known to make many accusations against politicians, especially against the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Cabral - whom he accuses of being mastermind of the attack - and the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes. Last year Ricardo posted a video that showed the governor making little of a young man who approached him, calling him a "bastard" and accusing him of making speech a "sucker." (See video below ).

Ricardo Gama said on his blog that after that, after receiving threats from people connected to the governor, because of the impact it had on the case Internet:

I remember well, like it was yesterday, "some people" government "saying I would" regret "for what he had done with Cabral to expose his true side.

It is too early to know who was the mastermind of the attack on the blogger, as that investigations are in progress (by the Civil Police of the State of Rio ...) but it seems that one thing leaves no doubt: Ricardo was the victim of politically motivated attack, due to the repeated accusations he makes in his blog.

This shows how much Brazil still needs to mature, to be truly democratic nation and a fully civilized. Here, political opposition is still intolerable and sharp criticism, enforceable, as in the worst times of the Civil-Military Dictatorship. Can not the State of Rio de Janeiro is in the hands of politicians who are more reminiscent of mobsters who kill to eliminate and silence their opponents. Although this has Ricardo Gama partisan political motives for their criticisms, since it is involved with a group linked to Anthony Garotinho of the Republican Party (PR) which is opposing the government, this is not a crime, although it is a tremendous bad taste . The fact is that freedom of expression is a right that should be respected as a sacred principle. But in Brazil, a country still far from the desired level of any democracy that is, criticism of the power we are still capable of murder.
